In our green bubble, we often focus on reducing our direct impact (footprint). By finding creative ways to minimize it or by being even stricter with ourselves, we aim to lower our environmental impact.
At Café Klima, we aspire to explore the opposite perspective. What if our actions influence and inspire others to act more sustainably? This positive ripple effect can amplify our impact.

This is how Cyrielle Durand introduced her talk about the Coworking PAYS BASQUE when I asked her to speak at the last Café Klima about the place that hosted us.

🗣 Recently, an Italian coachee shared with me a communication model she started using with success: 1. Naming the factual observation 2. Sharing the feeling it evokes in you 3. Expressing a request or need 4. Asking the other person for a response

👣 I realized: every change is made step by step.
📏 Reflecting on my early days as a young professional at my first job, I recall a coaching session where I was asked to imagine a line from 1 to 10. 10 represented my ultimate goal, and I had to place myself on that line based on where I felt I stood now in relation to achieving it. After articulating what my ’10’ looked like and what success would entail, we focused on my current position: Why was I at this point and not on a lower number? (…)

From pessimism to active hope 💫
🌏 There are moments when I feel that it’s pointless to try to make something of this world when I see how much destruction humanity causes. And I find it difficult to talk about this with, others because the optimist made me feel misunderstood and the pessimist only deepened my miserable feeling.
