Café Klima practise: Walk the line

👣 I realized: every change is made step by step.

📏 Reflecting on my early days as a young professional at my first job, I recall a coaching session where I was asked to imagine a line from 1 to 10. 10 represented my ultimate goal, and I had to place myself on that line based on where I felt I stood now in relation to achieving it. After articulating what my ’10’ looked like and what success would entail, we focused on my current position:
Why was I at this point and not on a lower number? What had brought me to that point? What accomplishments could I celebrate? From there, we looked ahead to the future: What would be the first step toward reaching 10? A half-point move? Or a full point? What would it be like in that future place? What resources did I need to get there? And how could I make that step tangible?

💫 This exercise has stayed with me ever since, a tool I often use, including nowadays at Café Klima. The response has been ranging from commitments like ’I’m finally going to buy that secondhand bike’ to ‘I need to reflect on my career path’.

In short:
🎯 Discover what your next tangible step is toward your bigger goal
